AI agents E-Signatures

Let your AI agent send documents for signature

Ask Claude, ChatGPT or your own agent to send a contract to a named person. You approve the send, and the chat shows the document and who has signed.

Why teams send for signature from their AI agent

From one sentence in the chat to a sealed PDF

Ask in your own words

Name the document and the person. The assistant fills the template and sends it.

Nothing goes out unapproved

Your AI app asks before a send, and a new setup starts in test mode.

Status and signed PDF in the chat

Who has signed, a reminder button and Open signed PDF, without leaving the conversation.

How to send a document for signature from an AI agent

Connect once. Then every contract is one sentence and one approval.

  1. 1

    Connect the DocsAutomator MCP server

In Claude, add a custom connector with https://mcp.docsautomator.co/mcp and sign in. ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and Claude Code connect to the same address.

  2. 2

    Pick or create the automation

Name an automation you already have, or let the assistant build one: a Word template from your prompt, with signing turned on.

  3. 3

Name the signer in the chat

Say who signs, with their email. The assistant passes the person in the request, so no contact list or second automation is needed.

  4. 4

    Approve the send

Your AI app asks before a tool that sends something runs. A new setup's first send runs in test mode: the real email, watermarked and free.

  5. 5

    See what went out

The document card shows the first page, Open PDF and a line such as Sent for signing to Maria Lopez (test mode).

  6. 6

    Ask whether it is signed

The status card shows who has signed, a Send reminder button while it is open, and Open signed PDF once everyone has signed.

Some of the teams / institutions automating and signing their documents with DocsAutomator:

Example: a consulting agreement sent from a chat

The message, what the assistant sends, and the signed agreement. All names and amounts are fictional.

1. Your message

Send our consulting agreement to Maria Lopez at Lopez Design for signature, maria@lopezdesign.example. Start date November 1, fee $4,800 a month, three months.
I'll send it in test mode first, since this is the first agreement from this setup.
One message names the document, the values and the signer.

2. What the assistant sends

create_document
{ "automationId": "6a20…91fe", "mode": "test", "data": { "client_company": "Lopez Design", "start_date": "2026-11-01", "monthly_fee": 4800, "term_months": 3 }, "recipients": [ { "signer": 1, "name": "Maria Lopez", "email": "maria@lopezdesign.example" } ] }
The assistant reads the automation's placeholders first, then sends raw values and the signer.

3. The signed agreement

Quotes accepted from a chat

For a quote or an offer, ask for acceptance instead of a signature.

The document card for a quote sent for acceptance. Fictional data.

On an acceptance automation, the client opens the quote from the email and clicks Accept.

  • Nothing to draw and no account to create
  • The status card shows Accepted and Open accepted PDF
  • The sealed PDF comes with a Certificate of Acceptance
How acceptance works

What your agent may do, and what waits for you

Reading is free. Anything that sends or changes something needs your yes.

Reads without changing anything

  • List your automations
  • Read an automation's placeholders
  • Check recent runs and errors
  • See who has signed or accepted

Asks you first

  • Create and send a document
  • Remind or re-invite a signer, or cancel a request
  • Build or change an automation
  • Switch an automation to live

Stays with you

  • Connect Airtable, Notion or Google accounts, once, in the app
  • Decide when to go live
  • Sign in and choose the workspace the assistant may use

Claude and ChatGPT ask before a tool that sends or changes something runs, unless you choose to always allow it. A new setup's first send runs in test mode, and a missing signer email stops the send before anything is created.

What to check before your agent sends documents for signature

Seven questions to ask before you pick a tool.

  • Works in the assistant you use. One server for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and your own agent.
  • You approve every send. Tools that send or change something are marked, so your app can ask first.
  • Test before live. A first send that reaches the real person without counting or billing.
  • Status inside the chat. Who has signed, a reminder button and the signed PDF, without opening another app.
  • Templates your team can edit. Google Docs, Word or PDF, so the people who own the wording keep editing it.
  • Signing and acceptance. A contract needs a signature. A quote often needs only a yes.
  • Proof on every PDF. A certificate and an audit trail that record who signed, when and from where.

Customer Voices

Don't take our word for it. Here's what our customers say about us:

If you use automated document creation, this is an amazing app. We've used several others, and this blows the others away in: ease of creation of the automations, speed of execution, and responsiveness of the staff. Couldn't be happier.

I was looking for a convenient solution to generate Google docs based on Airtable data, which supported features like Line Items and Dynamic Folder Creation. I was thrilled to find DocsAutomator, the experience and support has been excellent.

We love the ease of being able to use a template from google docs. Other softwares' we reviewed were much more complicated. [...] We also love how easily it connects to Airtable.

I've just been looking for this app for weeks. DocsAutomator simply outperforms any competitor out there. I've tried almost every possible way to generate PDF from Airtable, and none offer half of the capacities DocsAutomator does.

Foulques de Moncade

Foulques de Moncade

We have been using Airtable for a few years now and it has become our one source of truth. DocsAutomator has made this work for us by providing us with the ability to create documents in seconds instead of minutes or even hours. Game changer.
