DocsAutomator vs. Better Proposals

On Better Proposals, quotes that fill from your own data cost $21 a user a month, billed yearly. That's Premium, where custom merge tags (the fields your data fills in), Zapier and the API start. Add Nudge for follow-ups and you're at $31 a user. DocsAutomator is the Better Proposals alternative with all of that in every plan, for your whole team: from $19 a month billed yearly for 100 documents, with signing and one-click acceptance included.

Follow-ups. Nudge reminds you to follow up. When a step is due, you click Open Email and your own email app opens with the message filled in. You hit send, then tell Nudge you did. DocsAutomator sends the reminders itself: every 3 days, up to 3 times by default, and shows whether each quote is Not opened yet, Read, not accepted, Accepted or Declined. More on following up on a quote.

Where your data comes from. Better Proposals' own Zapier guide says there's no direct Google Sheets integration. DocsAutomator connects to Airtable, Google Sheets, Notion, Glide, Softr, SmartSuite and ClickUp directly. Deals in HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive come in through Zapier, Make, n8n or an AI assistant.

Importing a Word quote: the price table stays behind

Better Proposals' Doc Importer brings in a Word file, but its help article is clear: "Tables will not be imported." In a quote, the table is the part with the prices. To have Better Proposals do the import for you, its Custom Template Design service starts at $1,495.

In DocsAutomator, your Word file or Google Doc is the template, price table and all. You add placeholders where the details go. Or let us do it: with our done-for-you setup, we move your templates, signers and signing flows over for you. It costs $499 once with a yearly plan, and the yearly Scale plan includes it.
