DocsAutomator Pricing Update: November 15th, 2025
We're updating our pricing structure starting November 15th, 2025. Here's everything you need to know about what's changing and what it means for you.
For Existing Paid Customers: Nothing Changes
If you're already on a paid plan, your pricing is fully protected. We're grandfathering all existing paid customers into their current plans indefinitely.
What this means:
- Your plan, pricing, and document limits stay exactly the same
- You'll never see a price increase unless you choose to upgrade
- All features and benefits remain unchanged
This is our way of saying thank you for being an long-standing supporter of DocsAutomator.
For Current Free Plan Users: A Special Opportunity
If you're currently on our free plan, you have a unique opportunity to lock in significantly lower pricing before November 15th. After that date, new customers will pay higher rates for the same plans.
Your options:
- Upgrade before November 15th: Lock in current pricing (see table below) and keep your monthly document allowance
- Stay on free: Continue with 20 lifetime documents total (your quota resets on November 15th)
This grace period gives you time to evaluate whether DocsAutomator is right for your workflow and potentially save significantly on ongoing costs.
New Pricing Structure (For New Customers Only)
Starting November 15th, new customers will see the following pricing:
Key Changes
1. Free Plan Becomes a True Trial
The biggest change is to the free tier. Instead of 20 documents per month, new users will get 20 documents total - a true trial to test the platform before committing to a paid plan.
2. New Starter Tier
We're introducing a new Starter plan at $12/month for 50 documents. This fills the gap between free trial users and the Professional plan, making it easier for individuals and small teams to get started.
3. Simplified Feature Parity
All paid plans include the exact same features. The only differences are:
- Document limits
- Overage pricing
This means you get unlimited templates, all integrations, dynamic sections, conditional logic, custom branding, API access, and more - regardless of which paid tier you choose.
4. Annual Pricing Discount
All plans offer approximately 20% savings when billed annually, making it more affordable for customers who commit long-term.
Introducing Overage Protection
Starting November 15th, we're adding an optional overage protection feature for all paid plans. This ensures you never get blocked during critical work.
How it works:
- For new customers: Enabled by default, can be toggled off
- For existing customers: Opt-in only (must be manually enabled in settings)
- Automatic cap: Overage is capped at the next tier's document limit
- Smart alerts: Get notified at 80%, 90%, and 100% of your plan limit
- Upgrade suggestions: See when upgrading saves you money
Overage pricing by plan:
- Starter: $0.40/doc (capped at 200 docs)
- Professional: $0.25/doc (capped at 500 docs)
- Business: $0.15/doc (capped at 2,000 docs)
- Scale: $0.08/doc (capped at 5,000 docs)
- Enterprise: $0.04/doc (custom cap)
If you don't enable overage protection, nothing changes - you'll simply be blocked from creating additional documents when you reach your plan limit.
Lock In Current Pricing (Free Plan Users)
If you're currently on our free plan and want to avoid the limitations coming on November 15th, now is the perfect time to upgrade. By subscribing before November 15th, you'll lock in our current pricing:
Annual plans offer approximately 20% additional savings off these monthly prices.

As DocsAutomator has grown, we've learned more about how our customers use the platform. These pricing changes allow us to:
- Better serve different customer segments - From individuals testing automation to enterprises processing millions of documents per year
- Provide more predictable costs - Clear overage policies mean no surprises
- Invest in the platform - Sustainable pricing allows us to continue building features and improving performance
What You Need to Do
If you're a paying customer:
Nothing! Your pricing is protected and will never change unless you choose to upgrade to a new plan.
If you're on the free plan:
- Want to lock in lower pricing? Subscribe before November 15th to get current rates
- Happy with 20 lifetime documents? No action needed - you'll automatically transition on November 15th
- Not sure? You have until November 15th to decide
